Meta and Naver will bring voice-guided walking directions to Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta AI glasses in South Korea by the end of the year.
The Korea Herald reports that wearers will follow Naver Map routes through the glasses instead of looking down at a phone, keeping navigation hands-free on city streets.
The feature targets the camera-equipped Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta models, which already run Meta AI. Naver Map is South Korea’s dominant mapping service, so the tie-up gives the glasses a local navigation layer that a generic assistant struggles to match.
The agreement fits Meta’s recent habit of localising its wearable software market by market rather than shipping one global experience. It also deepens the company’s ties with Korean partners as it pushes its glasses line into more countries.
Meta has not said whether the walking directions will spread beyond Korea or reach its display-equipped models.
