RayNeo is attacking the smart glasses market from two angles on September 4, launching a $479 display pair and a sub-$400 AR line aimed at handheld gamers.
The iO Smart Glasses pack a monochrome green MicroLED panel, compressed to 0.6mm and rated up to 1,300 nits, inside a 33g frame. There are no speakers; voice input flows through four microphones and a bone conduction sensor, with a scroll wheel and head gestures handling controls. RayNeo claims up to 48 hours of typical use and 96 hours on standby.
Software leans on an Ambient AI Life Log that tracks habits and workflows to personalize daily summaries, plus live translation across 40 languages, dictation in 112, and an auto-teleprompter. RayNeo’s assistant and Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite are free, while a $9.99 monthly subscription unlocks ChatGPT 5.1, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Claude Sonnet 4.5, and other models in the companion app.
For bigger screens, the GT and GT Max AR glasses use dual 1080p Micro-OLED panels at up to 120Hz. The $399 GT Max projects virtual displays as large as 307 inches on a 59-degree field of view; the $299 GT tops out at 231 inches on 46 degrees. Both work with Steam Deck-style handhelds, lean on a Vision 4000 chip for SDR-to-HDR processing, and carry Bang and Olufsen-tuned speakers.
RayNeo also teased Pocket TV Pro, a Google TV streaming puck with Dolby Vision built for its glasses, with pricing still to come. The lineup lands as Xreal’s a01+ reaches the US at the same $299 price, setting up a direct fight in the budget AR segment.
