Paperwork at the FCC covers a Bluetooth keyboard that Xreal has never mentioned publicly, and the exhibits lead back to the company’s Aura glasses.
The authorization carries FCC ID 2BBNY-X7012 and was issued September 29 by the certification body MiCOM Labs. The record calls the product “XREAL Keyboard,” and two documents filed with it are titled “AURA_QSG” and “AURA KEYBOARD_SAFETY INSTRUCTION.”
The technical scope is narrow: equipment class DTS under FCC rule part 15C, a 2402 to 2480 MHz Bluetooth band, and a maximum conducted output power of 0.001W. Shenzhen Tongzhou Testing handled the lab work for the application, and the responsible party named in the record is registered at Xreal’s address in Sunnyvale.
Xreal is taking deposits now for Aura, its pair of Android XR glasses. The company puts arrival in autumn 2026, at a ceiling of $1,500 before tax in the US. Inside are a 70-degree optical see-through display, Gemini on Android XR, and a Snapdragon-powered compute puck. The Aura product page carries no first-party keyboard at all; its support list stops at the same generic line about keyboards, mice, and game controllers that any Bluetooth host publishes.
An equipment authorization only means a radio meets US rules and may be sold. It is not an announcement, and it promises no price, no launch date, and no comment from the company.
