A fresh round has pushed the smart glasses maker INMO toward unicorn territory, and toward the public markets. The Chinese company says its Series C financing now totals nearly RMB 1B (about $140M), with formal listing preparations under way.
The latest tranche, labeled C3, was led by the Sichuan Revitalization Science and Technology Innovation Fund, with follow-on backing from Jing’an Capital, Shibei Hi-Tech, Guangzhou Industrial Investment, and other investors.
INMO says the money will fund research and production of its next generation of spatial computing hardware, along with continued upgrades to its INMO AIOS system. It adds that revenue has grown by more than 200% for several consecutive years.
Founded in late 2020, INMO was among the first Chinese brands to chase consumer smart glasses, and it has stuck to an all-in-one approach that packs display, local computing, and AI perception into the frames rather than offloading work to a phone.
Founder and CEO Yang Longsheng argues that a screen alone is not the point. What buyers want, he says, is an AI agent that can operate on its own without a handset. That conviction puts INMO on the same battleground as Meta, Alibaba, and a lengthening list of hardware hopefuls.
