Firmware 1.27.0 landed on Solos’ AirGo glasses on October 3. Romanian, Italian, and Georgian now join the translation stack, and Instant Translate gains better latency and accuracy.
Older, and stranger, is the feature Solos leans on hardest. Under SolosChat 4.0 a wearer decides which assistant answers, and the menu spans ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini across the AirGo3, AirGo A5, AirGo V, and AirGo V2. Anyone wearing Ray-Ban Meta glasses gets Meta AI and nothing else.
Live translation comes two ways. Instant Translate Mode keeps a running translation and transcription of speech as it happens, while 1-to-1 Mode is built for a face-to-face exchange. Which release of each model powers those tiers, Solos leaves unsaid, and the picker surfaces only in the company’s own marketing.
Everything else in the build reads as upkeep: a Bluetooth media volume default, a higher ceiling for chat text, calmer Wi-Fi and photo syncing, and repairs to the camera controls and capture status.
On the hardware side, the AirGo V2 holds the camera and is rated at 16 MP stills and 2K video at 30 frames per second, driven by the spoken prompt “Hey Solos, take a photo.” Whisper Messages pipes notifications through the temples, while Whisper Events reads calendar reminders aloud.
