Viture’s new Pro 2 undercuts its own lineup and most rivals, and reviewers say the entry-level XR glasses punch well above their $299 price.
The Pro 2 is not a true successor to the original $459 Viture Pro. It sits at the bottom of the company’s range, below the $399 Luma and the flagship Luma Ultra at $599. Digital Trends spent two weeks with the pair and called it “the entry-level pair of XR glasses to beat.”
The headline feature is the built-in diopter dials on each display unit, covering 0 to -5.0 per eye, which replace the awkward custom prescription inserts other smart glasses require. Sony micro OLED panels deliver 1080p per eye at 120Hz with a 50-degree field of view and a perceived 146-inch screen. At 63 grams, the frames are noticeably lighter than the XReal One Pro and rival flagships, and the matte black wayfarer styling reads as ordinary sunglasses in public.
Viture hit the price point by cutting a few features: the electrochromic dimming glass is gone, replaced by a plastic cover; the Harman-tuned audio of pricier models is dropped; and the proprietary magnetic connector makes way for USB-C.
The cons are modest: a slight shimmer in spatial view, some warmth around the temples, a dongle requirement for iPhones, and desktop app bugs. For anyone shopping on a budget, the trade-offs look easy to accept.
