Meta is rolling out a v127 software update for its Ray-Ban Display glasses that adds Threads integration, hands-free browsing, and a neural handwriting input mode, powered by its Muse Spark AI models.
The update lets users scroll Threads hands-free on the integrated display, while a new silent input mode uses finger-tracking cameras to read handwritten questions instead of requiring voice commands. The Muse Spark-powered assistant delivers faster responses and now draws on real-time information from the Threads feed.
The update builds on earlier software that added multimodal AI capabilities to the Ray-Ban Meta glasses, including live translation and object recognition. Meta has been steadily expanding the glasses’ software capabilities through over-the-air updates rather than waiting for hardware revisions.
The Ray-Ban Display glasses currently support calling, messaging, music control, navigation, and AI-powered visual searches through the built-in camera.
