Meta has begun rolling out version 127 for its Ray-Ban Display glasses, bringing a new Muse Spark AI assistant, Threads integration, and neural handwriting support to the wearable.
The update focuses on making Meta AI more capable on the display-equipped frames. Powered by Meta’s Muse Spark models, the assistant now delivers smarter answers, improved understanding of what wearers are looking at, and more helpful suggestions throughout the day. Users can ask about food ingredients, find nearby coffee shops, or check weather, stocks, and calendar events directly on the in-lens display without pulling out a phone.
Threads arrives on the glasses for the first time, allowing wearers to browse their feed, view media, engage with posts, and share to messaging using voice commands. The hands-free experience targets moments when users are waiting in line or commuting.
For early access program members in the US and Canada, neural handwriting unlocks a new way to interact with Meta AI without speaking. Users double-tap their thumb, enter handwriting mode on the AI Home screen, and write questions on any surface using their finger. The feature works with the Meta Neural Band and is designed for situations where speaking out loud is not practical.
The update also improves Instagram capabilities. Users can now share photos as Instants by saying “Hey Meta, share an instant,” and can search reels, see comments, and share content using voice commands.
The v127 update rolls out gradually starting today to display glasses users in the United States.
