Meta has quietly launched a pair of smart glasses that strip away the Ray-Ban branding and the premium price tag. The new Meta Glasses, available in Adventurer and Fury styles, start at $300 — a full $80 less than the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 glasses they’re built from.
The glasses pack the same chipset, 12MP camera, speakers, battery, and storage as their Ray-Ban-branded siblings. The savings come from the frames themselves, which use simpler designs without the iconic Ray-Ban logo. Both styles also ship with a compact folding case that makes them easier to carry than the standard Ray-Ban case.
Meta isn’t going it alone here. The glasses are still produced in partnership with EssilorLuxottica, the eyewear giant that owns Ray-Ban and that Meta holds a 3% stake in. The $300 starting price undercuts most competitors in the smart glasses space, putting Meta’s AI assistant and hands-free camera features within reach of a wider audience.
The Adventurer style leans toward an active, sporty look while the Fury opts for a sleeker everyday aesthetic. Both work with the same Meta View app and support all existing features including AI queries, live streaming, and hands-free calling.
