A maker of camera-free eyewear is taking the privacy argument to streaming. Even Realities has launched “Exposed,” a scripted micro-drama about privacy and consent in an era of camera-equipped smart glasses.
The eight-episode series premieres October 8 on TikTok and is directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan. The campaign rolled out across the San Francisco Bay Area and New York this week, including placements in Times Square.
In San Francisco, the company put the campaign on buses circling Meta’s campus to coincide with Meta Connect, where Meta announced its own camera-free Ray-Ban Audio pair alongside a refreshed style lineup.
Even Realities frames the project as entertainment rather than a conventional advertisement, and makes its argument directly: smart glasses do not need cameras to be useful. The company’s own display eyewear ships without one.
The timing is pointed. Complaints about camera glasses, tampered recording lights and covert filming have driven bans in nightclubs, swimming pools and schools, and pushed Meta toward camera-free models. Even Realities is betting a dramatized version of that discomfort reaches audiences a spec sheet cannot.
