Meta is preparing a cinching strap for the Meta VR Glasses, the 100-gram visor it unveiled at Connect 2026 and will sell for $1,300 starting in Spring 2027.
Rather than replacing the band entirely the way Quest headstraps do, the add-on joins the two detachable temple tips at the back of the head so the visor clamps down. That keeps the modular arm design Meta showed at Connect intact.
Road to VR, which was told about the strap but did not see images of it, notes that a glasses-shaped headset needs the extra hold. During a Connect hands-on the visor stayed put with no nose slip, but fast head turns or long stretches looking down would test it.
Meta is also planning a magnetic light blocker for deeper immersion and prescription lenses from Zenni Optical. It has not said whether the strap ships in the box or sells as a paid add-on, and more accessories are expected closer to launch.
