After months of production delays, Bigscreen’s Beyond 2 lineup is getting cheaper and its Halo Mount is back on the line.
The standard Beyond 2 drops to $959 from $1,019, while the Beyond 2e, which adds eye tracking, falls to $1,159 from $1,219. Bigscreen also says the Beyond 2 now ships with its Universal-Fit Cushion, a thin silicone light seal available in soft and firm variants, removing the need for a custom iPhone face scan to get a proper fit.
The Halo Mount, designed to distribute the headset’s 107-gram weight, stalled after negative tester feedback last year forced a redesign, then hit a further delay in June over a production issue with its sledge link component. Bigscreen says that issue is resolved, volume shipments ramp in October, and the preorder backlog should clear by November.
Demand has outstripped stock after a delayed freight shipment, and Bigscreen expects usual one-to-two-day dispatch to resume by September 14.
