Flat2VR Studios is turning the 2022 comedic shooter High on Life into an official VR game, partnering with Squanch Games on a conversion headed to Quest, PSVR 2, and SteamVR headsets.
The studio, known for flatscreen-to-VR ports, showed behind-the-scenes footage of its work translating the game’s living guns, traversal, and NPC interactions into VR-native mechanics. It says the game already runs natively on Quest, and the release is targeted for 2027, as a separate title from the original flatscreen version.
High on Life casts players as a bounty hunter fighting an alien cartel that wants to turn humanity into drugs, aided by a cast of charismatic talking guns. The announcement arrived during the August VR Games Showcase, where Flat2VR also revealed a System Shock VR port, plans to bring a vault of games to PSVR 2, and a new funding initiative for larger projects.
Wishlists are open now on the Horizon Store for Quest, Steam for PC VR, and the PlayStation Store for PSVR 2. The port signals Flat2VR’s growing influence as the go-to studio for bringing flatscreen hits to VR platforms.
